HONDA Cars Phils. Inc. announced customer reservations for the all-new Honda City now number 2,000. The model was introduced only in April.
HCPI said the high number of registrations indicates that its primary model has successfully set new standards in the subcompact category.
The company noted that the price of the new City did not increase from the previous generation model’s 1.3-liter engine with a manual transmission variant, and yet customers can already enjoy Honda’s improved 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine in the new car—sold for as low as P756,000.
HCPI said it is offering its new torque converter-equipped Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) in the latest model, starting with the City’s 1.5 E CVT variant. The City 1.5 E CVT is priced at P796,000. Interested customers can place reservations on the new City for P5,000.
