Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI), the company’s automobile business unit in the Philippines, officially launched its fourth-generation model Honda City at SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
“In recent years and trends, it has been observed that the sweet spot of passenger car market in the Philippines has shifted to the smaller class of vehicles. The B-segment is where demand is strongest, occupying more than half of the passenger car sales,” HCPI President and General Manager Toshio Kuwahara said.
“When the third-generation City was launched in 2009, it changed the rules in the segment it has started, with its cutting-edge design and class-leading features.
The fourth-generation City “promises to offer values that will exceed customers’ expectations and even appeal to an even wider customer range. Proudly made in our Sta. Rosa plant,” he said.
Debuting in a futuristic concept, the All New City has six available variants to choose from.
The All New City is offered with Honda’s improved 1.5 liter i-VTEC engine that delivers maximum power output of120 ps at 6600 rpm.
