Hong Kong stocks up 0.99% by break


HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks rose 0.99 percent on Friday, supported by bargain-hunting after the market suffered heavy losses in the previous session during a regional sell-off.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 206.46 points to 21,093.50 on turnover of HK$33.10 billion (US$4.27 billion).
