A House panel has approved a measure granting college education credits to those who finished technical and vocational courses. This developed after the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education chaired by Rep. Roman Romulo of Pasig approved the Ladderized Education Bill, which allows graduates of technical and vocational courses to skip freshmen year in college, should they decide to pursue a college education.

“Should the technical and vocational graduates decide to pursue college education, he does not have to go back to first year college because the national certificates that they obtained from technical and vocational courses are given corresponding college credit which would qualify him to go straight to second year or third year college,” Romulo pointed out.
