Filipino Treat Huey and Belarusian Max Mirnyi earned a spot in the third round of the prestigious 2016 French Open doubles competition being held at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France.

The 10th-seeded Huey and Mirnyi wasted no time in ousting Ricardas Berankis of Lithuania and Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic via a quick 6-3, 6-4 win.

Huey and Mirnyi banked on their powerful serves, nailing 35-of-44 on first serve higlighted by five aces. They got 64 total points and three break points.

On the other hand, Berankis and Rosol were marred by four double faults and could only convert a single ace.

Huey and Mirnyi will be facing the winner between seventh picks Canadian Vasek Pospisil and American Jack Sock, and French duo Julien Benneteau and Edouard Roger-Vasselin.

For reaching the third round, Huey and Mirnyi are now assured of 37,000 Euros.

Huey and Slovenian partner Andreja Klepac also had a rousing debut in the mixed doubles as they clobbered Oksana Kalashnikova of Georgia and veteran Jean-Julien Rojer of the Netherlands, 6-4, 6-4.

The Huey-Klepac pair arranged a second-round meeting with fifth seeds Bruno Soares of Brazil and Elena Vesnina of Russia, who scored a convincing 6-4, 6-2 win over the unheralded tandem of American Abigail Spears and Colombian Juan Sebastian.

Huey and Klepac are also assured of 8,500 Euros.
