WE are bombarded daily by news and images of violence and mayhem. The bombing of Yemen and Aleppo, the horrific war in Iraq and Syria, conflicts in Sudan in Africa, and the death and suffering of migrants and refugees fleeing violence and war. It gives us urgent reason to feel the human suffering and to think about and act out of our humanity. What are we as a species that we do violence to each other?
