THE Philippine National Police (PNP) barred international human rights commissioners from visiting Sen. Leila de Lima on Sunday, International Human Rights Day.

Based on the information provided by de Lima’s office, human rights commissioners Rosslyn Joy Noonan, director of New Zealand Center for Human Rights Law, Policy and Practice and Philippa Erica Dargan, deputy director of Sydney-based Asia Pacific Forum of National Human Rights Institution, were not allowed to enter the PNP custodial center inside Camp Crame where the senator is detained.
