• Hundreds of flights in November canceled

If you have booked a flight for next month, you could be one of the thousands of passengers who may be affected by flight cancellations because of the holding of the Asia-Pacific Economic Conference (APEC) Economic Leaders’ meeting in Manila.

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said there will be periodic, temporary runway closures at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport from Nov. 16 to 20.

Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) said 242 domestic flights and 30 international flights next month will be cancelled. The airline has started arranging the re-accommodation of affected passengers. It said affected guests can rebook their flights within 30 days from the original departure date or opt for full refund.

Both airlines reminded guests to allot ample travel time to the airport, as there will be heavy traffic in the surrounding areas of the NAIA terminals 3 and 4.

Flag-carrier Philippine Airlines, meanwhile, will issue flight schedules next week over the planned NAIA periodic temporary runway closures next month.
