H&WB Asia Pacific Corp. is targeting to complete the feasibility study for its 700-megawatt (MW) super critical coal-fired power project in Camarines Norte by the first half of this year.
Data from the Energy department as of May 31, show that the firm plans to start the commercial operations of its first unit by the fourth quarter of 2021, while the second unit is slated for the fourth quarter of 2026. The units will have a capacity of 350 MW each.
The Energy department said the generation firm secured the land, which was re-classified as industrial. The company is still processing the land title, as it requires a resurvey.
On the other hand, the company is still seeking its environmental compliance certificate from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
The Garcia-led firm is also undergoing a review process with the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines.
The company, meanwhile, received its clearance to start the grid impact study on February 12, 2015, along with its local government unit endorsement on June 10, 2014.
