PARIS: Emmanuel Macron's penchant for using regal symbols to give his presidency a touch of majesty will be on display on Monday when France's new leader addresses both houses of parliament in the splendour of Versailles.

Macron will use the speech, which has been billed as a novel, US-style state of the nation address, to set out his vision for a French "renaissance".
