Living up to its mission of providing customer-oriented and reliable service, Hyundai E. Rodriguez (HER) and Hyundai Manila Bay (HMB) recently earned the Gold Bagwis Seal of Excellence from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for its outstanding business ethics and practices.
The DTI Bagwis Program was launched in 2006 to protect both the consumers and business establishments from unfair trade practices. It aims to give due recognition to establishments that uphold the rights of consumers and practice responsible business where consumers get value for money.
The Bagwis seal assures consumers that they are purchasing safe, affordable and quality products and services. The award, further classified into Gold, Silver, and Bronze levels, is based on: compliance with Fair Trade laws; establishment of good customer relations and store operations; adoption of social corporate responsibility; and compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System. DTI has collaborated with the private sector to screen the nominees and check if their establishments meet the criteria.
Business establishments will receive Bronze if they meet the first two criteria. The Silver Seal goes to companies who prioritize CSR or corporate social responsibility projects alongside excellent business operations and warm customer care, while Gold goes to establishments that have achieved all of the mentioned criteria.
Through their exceptional business efforts, Hyundai E. Rodriguez and Hyundai Manila Bay both met the measures that brought home the Gold Bagwis Seal of Excellence.
