HARI Foundation Inc. (HFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. (HARI), distributor of Hyundai in the Philippines, announced it had signed a partnership agreement with the International Bazaar Foundation (IBF), a non-government office that supports charities around the country through the annual International Bazaar.
Now on its 47th year, the International Bazaar that will be held in November will raise funds to benefit charitable projects geared to further IBF’s advocacies for education, health, community development, and women’s and children’s rights.
The partnership was once again sealed between Hyundai and IBF by HFI President Fe Perez-Agudo and IBF Overall Chairman Gretchen del Rosario. Witnessesing the agreement signing were HFI Chairman Richard Lee and IBF President Sylvia Farolan. Also present were IBF board member Olivia Romula, IBF Treasurer Alice Guerrero, IBF board member Consul Fortune Ledesma, IBF Executive Director Nora Salazar and Department of Foreign Affairs coordinator for special projects Blesila Cabrera.
“Giving back is a core philosophy of Hyundai Motor Co. and HARI, which is why we established HARI Foundation, Inc.,” said Agudo. “It is a pleasure to continue supporting IBF and we at Hyundai congratulate IBF for counting close to 50 years of making a difference in the lives of the country’s marginalized sectors. This makes us perfect partners in pushing further our shared advocacies and engaging in programs that impact on an even greater number of worthy beneficiaries.”
HARI said that, through HFI, it will donate to IBF a brand-new Hyundai Accent 1.4L GL M/T that will serve as the grand prize in a raffle draw capping the one-day bazaar.
