HAJIME KOSO has been in the Philippines as president of Isuzu Philippines Corporation for less than eight months, but he has learned to love the country for its natural beauty and people.
“I worked in the United States and Indonesia, and the Philippines and Indonesia is the same as the Asean [region]. But Filipino people are always smiling and very kind, with very good attitude. They are very comfortable to be with,” he said. Asean is the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
“Most of the Japanese who worked in the Philippines wanted to come back to the Philippines again,” Koso added naming former IPC presidents as among them.
The current IPC president has also started visiting different places in the country and claims to love bodies of water, like oceans. On the other hand, his wife, who is currently in Japan, loves mountains.
“My wife likes to climb mountains, she climbed Mount Fuji also. For me, I like the oceans, but my wife likes mountains,” Koso said.
Since he has been assigned in the Philippines, he has visited places like Tuguegarao, Cebu and Subic.
He is also hoping to bring her wife to the country so they can climb Mount Pulag and explore Tagaytay and Taal.
“My wife is in Japan, she’s now taking care of out grandkids. One time, she will come here to visit my apartment and I will invite her to go to Tagaytay where there’s some big lake, beautiful mountain,” Koso added.
