The French outdoor lifestyle brand Aigle has finaly made it to Southeast Asia via the Philippines, with the opening of its flagship store in Uptown Mall in Taguig City.

The label traces its history as far back as 1853 when founder Hiram Hutchinson bought the patent for vulcanization of rubber from Charles Goodyear, and created the brand of protective boots named A l’Aigle as a tribute to the American Eagle. It wasn’t until the 1920s to 1930s when the brand started to produce shoes in rubber for sports and leisure.
