• Ill passenger forces plane to divert


    A Cebu Pacific Air flight from Laguindingan Airport in Cagayan de Oro City enroute to Manila was diverted to Mactan-Cebu International Airport on Wednesday for medical emergency. Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said CEB’s Airbus A320 was passing by the Cebu area to Manila at 12:40 p.m., when the crew announced that the plane will divert to Mactan to offload an ailing passenger on board. After the unidentified passenger was offloaded, CEB flight 5J384 with 180 passengers, and six crew on board, resumed flight and landed at 2:55p.m., in Manila.
