BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya: The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) raided a Taiwanese den where cybercrime activities were reportedly conducted in a resort in Currimao town of Ilocos Norte, reports said. The raid was confirmed by Sr. Insp. Don Acacio, Currimao police chief, in a report Thursday. Acacio, however, said the NBI cybercrime division agents failed to arrest any Taiwanese suspects engaging in cybercrime activities when they conducted the search operation in their rented unit at a resort in Currimao town. Reports said the subject Taiwanese, who were spotted staying in the area for several weeks, were no longer at the resort when the NBI agents arrived. Operatives, however, found two laptops, two mobile phones and a flash drive inside the rented room which are now being scrutinized by the authorities.
