Ilocos Norte hosts APEC meet on renewable energy


ILOCOS NORTE: Emerging as the renewable energy capital of the Philippines, the Provincial Government here is hosting at least 70 international delegates and members of the Expert Group on New and Renewable Energy Technologies (EGNRET) who will converge next month. Gov. Imee Marcos said Ilocos Norte is proud to host on April 13-16 the meeting as the province “is now an emerging renewable energy capital not only in the Philippines but also in Southeast Asia.” Marcos said EGNRET which is a subcommittee of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, will discuss and conduct workshops in “doubling the APEC region’s goal of generating renewable energy.”
