0

ILOILO CITY: This city is serving as model for a share-a-road movement following the successful staging of the country’s first bike festival that featured the use of bicycle as main transport for livelihood and fun. City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog shared the sentiments of Ilonggo Senate President Franklin Drilon in promoting the use of bicycles and other non-motorized form of travel that can help minimize air pollution. The share-a-road movement is encouraging Iloilo residents and the Department of Public Works and Highways to move towards making major roads and thoroughfares conducive to bikers and other pedestrians.
