ILOILO CITY: City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog on Thursday issued an executive order to stop the proliferation of “hot meat” or illegally slaughtered animals sold in public markets, supermarkets, restaurants and hotels. Executive Order 26 (Series of 2014), which takes effect immediately, created the Iloilo City Task Force composed headed by city veterinarian Dr. Tomas Forteza Jr. as chairman and Dr. Fedy de la Cruz as vice chairman. The members are city administrator Norlito Bautista, city legal officer Atty. Daniel Dinopol, city ENRO Engr. Noel Hechanova, city police director Supt. Ruperto Floro, city health officer Dr. Urminico Baronda, BPLO officer in charge Francis Cruz, Ely Sumaray of LEEO, and executive assistants Ely Estante and Felix Muchada.
