• Iloilo City under state of imminent water crisis


    ILOILO CITY: The Iloilo City council has passed a resolution declaring the entire city under the state of imminent water crisis because of the acute water shortage and poor water services of the Metro Iloilo Water District. Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog of Iloilo City has endorsed to the city council Resolution No. 001, Series of 2015 of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council for the declaration of water crisis and allocating funds of P3 million to be utilized for possible water rationing. City Councilor Joshua Alim said the water crisis already reached the highest level in the city and the situation needs the intervention of the city government.
