ILOILO CITY: Councilor Plaridel Nava here admitted getting the most number of death threats among his peers at the city council but he is used to it and does not mind all. Nava’s most recent death threat came on July 15, a note written in the Hiligaynon dialect. He admitted receiving a live ammunition of M16 and black ribbons signifying death to the receiver and several threatening notes and phone calls. A lawyer by profession, Nava is noted for his vocal ideas and interpretation of national and local laws. He serves as Sangguniang Panlalawigan committee chairman of ways and means.
