Iloilo mayor smokes peace pipe with council

ILOILO CITY: In a spirit of courtesy, friendship and cooperation between the executive and legislative branches of the city government, Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog here wanted to observe the tradition at the city council in confirming any contract earlier authorized by the local legislative body.

According to the mayor’s spokesman Jeffrey Celiz, the local chief executive has ordered executive assistant Jess Sio to transmit to the city council a signed copy of the contract of lease dated early this year between the city represented by Mabilog and Smart Communications Inc. represented by June Carlo Villos, head of Property and Facilities Management Development.
