• ILOILO regulates seating capacity of movie houses, establishments

ILOILO CITY: The city council has approved a twin ordinance filed by City Councilor Joshua Alim to regulate the seating capacity of movie houses and that of function and recreation rooms of both public and private establishments in the city. Alim said the ordinances aim to protect constituents from stampedes and other accidents and to safeguard public safety. Establishment owners would be required to post a signage and to inform the public the maximum capacity of their rooms.
