ILOILO CITY: More than 10,000 water concessionaires in the franchise area of the Metro Iloilo Water District (MIWD) are bearing the thrice weekly water rationing scheme as water output from its treatment plant dropped drastically from 29,000 cubic meters to 19,500 cubic meters per day.
MIWD general manager Imelda Magsuci admitted that they could not cope with the demand in their franchise area, especially in Iloilo City, as water level in the Maasin dam also dropped to the critical level.
