Iloilo TESDA offers 2 more courses

ILOILO CITY: Two more vocational and technical courses were offered under the NC2 category to help prepare its graduates, mostly out-of-school youth, recognized by TESDA. Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said the new courses – House Keeping and Emergency Medical Service – will address the growing demand of overseas jobs, especially for domestic workers and caregivers. Classes will be held at the Diamond Jubilee Hall along Mabini and Gen. Luna Streets. Mabilog said the city’s Technical Institute of Iloilo City (TIIC) will supervise the short term courses on top of all other voctech courses offered at its Molo and Barrio Obrero campuses. With the two new courses, students looking for jobs abroad will be prepared and skilled enough to meet the challenges of their work.     Lydia C. Pendon
