Mayor Herbert Bautista of Quezon City has ordered an immediate study of improvement projects at the inner and outer lanes of Elliptical Road, and some areas of Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC) in a bid to attract more tourist visits to the Circle, now one of the city’s biggest leisure parks. Bautista asked parks development and administration department chief Engr. Zaldy dela Rosa to coordinate with the city’s special design group in creating a unique and uniform design for the inner and outer areas of Elliptical Road that would give prominence to the QMC and attract those who will see the area particularly the QMC inner side. Bautista noted that Elliptical area and nearby streets and avenues adjacent to Elliptical Road and Quezon City Hall are frequently visited by people from all walks of life, including employees of the nearby government offices like the QC Hall and Department of Agriculture and the health institutions National Kidney and Transplant Institute and Lung Center.
