JAPAN DONATES ‘FRIENDSHIP BUILDING’ TO ARMM
COTABATO CITY: Ambassador Toshinao Urabe of the Japanese Embassy in Manila turned over recently his government-funded P28.8-million training center here in this city for the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) administration, calling the edifice as a “Friendship Hall” that would strengthen his nation’s link with the Muslim Filipinos in particular.
ARMM Spokesman Ali Macabalang on Sunday noted that the “Friendship Hall” as an edifice would also boost the bilateral relations between Japan and the Philippines as well as help capacitates workforces in ARMM. Ansaruddin Alonto-Adiong and other ARMM officials joined Ambassador Urabe in cutting the ceremonial ribbon marking the opening and turnover of the Japan-Muslim Mindanao two-story “Friendship Hall and Training Center” built inside the ARMM compound here in this city. PAMPANGA SPONSORS DENGUE MANAGEMENT LECTURE
San Fernando, Pampanga: To enhance the knowledge and capability of health service providers in the province amid the increasing number of dengue cases in Pampanga, the provincial government spearheaded a one-day lecture on hospital dengue management. Medical specialists of the Jose B. Lingad Regional Memorial Hospital conducted the project, sponsored by Provincial Board Member Monina Laus, chairperson of the committee on health, in cooperation with the Provincial Health Office. Laus called on the chiefs of hospitals, nurses and midwives to support the provincial government’s efforts to address the dengue problem even as she encouraged them to perform their duties and responsibilities with passion. More than 1,000 cases of dengue were recently reported in various areas of Pampanga, most of which occurred in the municipalities of Mabalacat, City of San Fernando, Angeles City and Apalit.
