PFF releases final ‘Azkals’ line-up

THE Philippine Football Federation revealed on Tuesday the final 23-man line-up of the Philippine ‘Azkals’ that will see action in the first round of the World Cup qualifying games on June 29 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Filipino-British goalkeeper Neil Etheridge and brothers Phil and James Younghusband will be joined by Manuel Ott, Robert Gier, Filipino-Spanish striker Angel Aldeguer, Ray Jonsson, Jerry Lucena, Stephan Schrock, Ian Araneta, Alexander Borromeo, Emil Caligdong, Anton Del Rosario, Roel Gener, Nestor Margarse, Edward Sacapano, Misagh Bahadora, James Rochlitz, Nathaniel Burkey, Jason Sabio,
Ricardo Becite, Paul Mulders and Dennis Cagara.

“I believe this is the best line-up I’ve ever seen. All the players are so serious in their training, so I’m hoping we win there [Sri Lanka].” said Azkals team manager Dan Palami.

The Azkals are set to fly to Germany on Sunday for a one-week training camp.
