AFTER posting its best monthly results of the year in September, Ford Phils. last week opened a new dealership in Cainta, Rizal.
Under its principal Edmund Yee, a pioneer distributor of Ford in the country, Ford Cainta is the first of 12 new authorized dealerships that would be launched within a span of six months. The Cainta dealership is the first in the country to conform to Ford’s Brand@Retail II global standards that are meant to improve ownership experience and ensure long-term association with the Ford brand.
“We are proud to open the doors of Ford Cainta and showcase Ford’s new brand and retail image,” Yee said. “We are excited to be a partner of Ford’s growing presence in the Philippines and look forward to bringing Ford vehicles and quality service to even more customers.”
Ford Cainta has a land size of 3,000 square meters, 1,200 square-meters of which count for the dealership floor space. Its showroom can display eight cars and its 10 service bays can accommodate 22 vehicles.
Ford Phils. President Randy Krieger said that the new dealerships would help drive Ford’s plan to bring eight all-new One Ford vehicles in the country by mid-decade. Ford intends to open 12 new dealerships, increasing its nationwide network by 50 percent to 35 locations.
“Ford is committed to an aggressive growth plan in the Philippines, which will be supported by a strong and expanding dealer network. In addition to introducing segment-leading Ford vehicles like the Fiesta, the all-new Ranger and Focus, we are committed to further enhancing our world-class customer service experience,” Krieger said.
Besides the Cainta dealership, Ford Phils. is eyeing to open in Bohol, Butuan and Naga in November; Tarlac, Isabela and Makati in December; General Santos in January 2013; Laoag and Zamboanga in March 2013; Manila Bay in May 2013; and one in Baguio.
In September, Ford Phils. reported its best monthly performance for the year with sales increasing by 68 percent from the previous month to 964 units. It sold 40 Mustangs and 118 Explorers.
Sales of the Fiesta increased 28 percent and the Ranger’s by as much as 271 percent in September.
