VOLVO Phils. announced it is now offering Polestar’s performance tuning upgrade for late-model Volvo models with gasoline and turbo-charged diesel engines. Volvo said the tuning packs are not limited to any single model but to a wide variety of old and new Volvos.
The carmaker said it works closely with Polestar, its official motor sports partner, and its team of engineers who have run Volvo’s official motor sport division since 1996. Together, they developed the technology to ensure exhilarating driving wrapped in world-renowned Volvo safety.
The performance tuning consists of a software upgrade that’s installed by Volvo Phils.’ dealership, and can lead a Volvo to get as much as 329 horsepower and 480 Newton-meter of torque. Volvo said the Polestar package does not void the factory warranty and will not alter a vehicle’s service schedule. It also affects neither a car’s certified fuel consumption nor emissions during normal driving.
The Polestar upgrade is available for only P50,000.
