INFINITI’S FX Vettel Edition is a production car that was inspired by and developed in conjunction with the reigning Formula One world champion, Sebastian Vettel, who also currently leads in the points standings of this season’s title race.
The most powerful and expensive Infiniti ever made is the realization of Vettel’s wish for an FX with even more focus and ability, and is lavished with bespoke aerodynamic, aesthetic and technical features derived from F1. “Vettel” badges only hint at the F1 driver’s involvement, because from concept to production, Vettel has been instrumental to the vehicle’s test-driving team as he provided crucial feedback to engineers.
The FX Vettel Edition is powered by a naturally aspirated, 414-horsepower, 5.0-liter V8 engine that’s capable of a 250kph electronically limited top speed and a rest-to-100kph time of 5.6 seconds. The vehicle uses the same standard of carbon-fiber as the Infiniti-partnered Red Bull Racing F1 cars but has an Alcantara-trimmed cabin designed by Vettel. It is available only in Moonlight White paintjob that is matched with 21-inch black alloys with 265/45 tires. Only 150 FX Vettel Editions will be built.
