NISSAN Motor Phils. last week announced that the all-new Nissan Almera 1.5L will soon make its way to local roads, the model becoming the company’s entry in the thriving compact sedan category.
NMPI said that the Almera will arrive at all Nissan dealerships in the country starting December 14, even as the car will only be launched in January 2013. However, NMPI said customers can already place their reservations and can get an accessory package for free. The package includes chromed side moldings, exhaust finisher and a front lower grille finisher.
Launched successfully in countries like Thailand, the US, China, India, Singapore and, more recently, Malaysia, the Almera has become Nissan’s best-selling sedan globally, with sales reaching more than 500,000 units to date. Built as an “affordable dynamic sedan,” the Almera boasts of class-leading comfort and space, upscale design and great functionality, yet comes at an affordable price, NMPI said.
It noted that the Almera, which has a newly developed and fuel-efficient 1.5-liter engine, is the biggest and most spacious in its class. The car will be sold in three variants; the 1.5L base manual, 1.5L base automatic and 1.5L mid automatic. Colors will include titanium gray, brilliant silver, alpine white and bluish black.
