63rd PHA ANNUAL NATIONAL CONVENTION
WITH the aim of leading, enabling, assisting and protecting (LEAP) hospitals towards quality service, Philippine Hospital Association (PHA) was created on September 15, 1949.
Now, 63 years later, PHA is facing the challenge of affordable healthcare.
During its 63rd Annual Convention at The Manila Hotel from November 21 to 23, the PHA tackles important topics that include Universal Health Care: Hope or Hype?; Lower Cost, Better Outcomes: Can we afford quality?; Financing Health Care: Defining Policy Directions; Local Government’s Blueprint for Health System; Redefining the New Hospital Market; Health Care Through the Web; Revisiting Licensing and Accreditation; and Globalization of Helath: Positioning Philippines as Medical Services “Supplier,” among others.
One of the must-attend conventions among healthcare providers, the PHA annual convention brings together more than 1,000 senior hospital executives who come to discuss leadership challenges and opportunities facing health care.
Attendees of this three-day convention are expected to analyze the challenges of an increasingly borderless world where patients expect a seamless and integrated health delivery system; study and learn the issues facing other leaders of healthcare delivery in other countries as they develop and implement new, effective operational processes and strategies; gain awareness of the impact of advances in medical knowledge and information technology on the process of healthcare delivery, and leverage them to improve quality of care, process and cost controls, and revenue; explore strategies that can promote performance improvement in creating a culture of quality and excellent service; evaluate innovative models in healthcare delivery in order to develop and implement strategies that can potentially enhance the competitiveness of the country as barriers for free trade are being steadily dismantled in an era of globalized health care.
