Mandarin Oriental, Manila takes guests on a culinary trip to The Lion City from November 19 to 25 via the cuisine of a renowned Singaporean master chef from the world-acclaimed Mandarin Oriental, Singapore.


Held in partnership with Singapore Airlines and Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, the food festival at the hotel’s Paseo Uno dubbed “Sensational Singapore” also offers diners a chance to win a holiday trip to Singapore inclusive of roundtrip airfare and accommodations, among other prizes.

Mandarin Oriental, Singapore’s Executive Sous Chef Eric Cheam takes center stage in creating traditional and contemporary Singaporean dishes that will be incorporated into Paseo Uno’s lunch and dinner buffets.

Guests will be captivated by Singapore’s exotic spices as Chef Eric, together with Chef de Partie Nelson Lim, showcases delicious favorites such as: Hainanese Chicken Rice, Beef Rendang, Chili Crab, Singapore Fish Head Curry, Satay (Spiced Marinated Grilled Beef or Chicken), Hokkien Prawn Noodle Soup, Singapore Rojak with Shrimp Paste, Gula Melaka Sago and Almond Pudding with Longgan, among others.

Besides sampling Singapore’s gustatory delights, diners have a chance to win and immerse themselves in Singapore’s exciting cosmopolitan lifestyle as a roundtrip ticket from Singapore Airlines plus a three-day/two-night stay at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental, Singapore is up for grabs in a raffle draw at the end of the promotion. Other prizes are also at stake.

For those who wish to bring the Singaporean flavors home with them, Chef Eric will hold a cooking class on November 24 at 9 a.m. and teach participants how to prepare authentic Chili Crab, Bak Kut Teh and Cheng Teng.
