By now, women everywhere are all agog in putting together glamorous holiday looks for endless parties with family, friends and workmates.
If you’re out of glitter on the clothes, here’s a tip on how to sparkle this season in a snap: Check out UK cosmetics and body care brand The Body Shop’s newest Winter Make-up Range.
Yes, the Philippines is a tropical country, but when it comes to makeup trends, winter shimmers and palettes are something we can embrace the whole year through.
The new collection is comprised of eyeshadows, eyeliners and bronzers, in earthy metallic shades for a smoky sparkle. Lips are softened in sweet pinks and roses, ready for mistletoe action; while the rest of the body is not forgotten atomizers of glowing gold or copper that can be sprayed even on the hair!
Raring to get the look? Here’s how straight from The Body Shop’s very own international makeup artist Chase Aston.
Step 1. Four-steps smoky eyes palette: Using the Smoky Copper Palette eyeshadow and flat brush, sweep shade 01 over the eyelid and up to the brow bone. Apply shade 02 over the entire lid. Use the slanted brush to work in shade 03 to the outer corners of the eyes. With the same brush, use shade 04 to define the lash line. For a 3D-effect, smooth shade 01 under the arch of the brow and onto inner corner of the eye.
Step 2. Defining metallic eye: Use Pure Gold eyeliner to line the top and bottom inner corners of the eyes and along the inner-rim of the lower lid. To add intensity, take Copper Brown and draw a fine line along the top lash line, past the outer corners of the lid, and under the lower lashes.
Step 3. Dazzling rocks: Swirl the Slanted Kabuki Brush into Dazzling Rocks bronzer. Blow a kiss and blend onto the cheek hollow, up and along the cheekbones and onto temples.
Step 4. Glide the color and shine: For day, use Rare Coral lipstick; for night, Copper Mine. Apply straight from the bullet or with a lipstick and concealer Brush.
Step 5. Sparkling all over: Spritz the Sparkler in Dazzling Copper atomizer over cheeks, shoulders, décolletage and hair.
The same steps can be applied using the other items in the range including the Smoky Moonstone Palette and Moonstone eyeliner paired with Rose Quartz or Ruby Sparkle for the lips. The perfect atomizer to finish this particular look is Enchanting Gold.
