With the grand finale of her soap opera Luna Blanca airing tonight, the big question is if Heart Evangelista will go on the campaign trail for her boyfriend Senator Chiz Escudero who is up for reelection in May 2013.

According to our mole in GMA Network where Heart is a contract artist, they haven’t heard if she has signed on for any new projects in the coming year. “But then again, we’ll only know about the new shows until then,” our mole added.

For now, it looks like Heart’s schedule won’t be as tight as before with teleserye tapings, so there might be a chance she can join her new love as he touches base with voters all around the country.

In the meantime Heart’s fans, as well as Bianca King’s who shares the title role with her, will be glued to the boob tube tonight as the journey of the mystical twin sisters Luna and Blanca finally comes to an end.

Luna Blanca has aired for more than five months following the twins from childhood to adulthood with the network’s most bankable stars. Jillian Ward, Bea Binene and Bianca King played the role of dark-skinned Luna, while Mona Louise Rey, Barbie Forteza and Heart Evangelista breathed life to the character of fair-skinned Blanca.

The series showcased the journey of the sisters in discovering their identities, family ties, first loves and first heartbreaks and, at the same time, in fulfilling their personal destinies.
