Funnymen headline new TV show and movie this November
There is no stopping funnymen Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola of the Eat Bulaga fame from spreading laughter on the small and big screens as the nation steps into the merriest time of the year.

The pair of comedians who are truly beloved by ordinary folk who they visit with surprises daily in the noontime show segment Juan for All, All for Juan! Bayanihan of the Pipol!” are currently in London to bring cheer to the large OFW community in the United Kingdom.

While there, Jose and Wally’s newest project for GMA Network, Celebrity Bluff, will premiere tomorrow evening, which will combine excitement and comedy in the aim of raising the bar in Philippine game shows. They will be joined by award winning comedian Eugene Domingo to form a rib-tickling trio in what she describes as a game show that is “masarap laruin, [at] masarap pang panoorin.”

With Eugene as host, Jose and Wally will serve as “Celebrity Bluffers,” also known as “GangNam,” who will do their best to confuse contestants in answering questions and taking on challenges with their perfectly timed antics.

Later on in the month, Jose and Wally are hoping to duplicate their record-breaking ticket sales from their Smart Araneta Coliseum concert, A Party for Every Juan, in March as they return to the big screen with D’ Kilabots Pogi Brothers . . . Weh!? A co-production of APT Entertainment (the movie outfit Eat Bulaga producer Tony Tuviera) and M-Zet (Vic Sotto’s company), a surge of support and confidence was given to Wally and Jose at the movie’s press conference on Tuesday.

“Malaki ang tiwala naming sa dalawa, especially after the Araneta concert,” said fellow comic and Bulaga co-host Allan K. “High time na gumawa ulit sila ng pelikula.”

Jose and Wally were last seen in the hit movie Scaregivers in 2010, and with the continued rise in their popularity, owing to the longest running TV show in Philippine history, the clamor for another full-length comedy was loud and clear.

“Masarap ang feeling na suportado kami ng dalawang malaking produksyon gaya ng APT at M-Zet,” related Wally. “So kami, sinusuklian namin ang tiwalang ito na kung ano ang gustong ipagawa sa amin sa movie, aba, go lang ng go!”

Jose added on to his buddy’s statement and quipped, “Kaya nga kahit ayaw ko ng kissing scene kay Solenn [Heussaff, his leading lady] ginawa ko pa rin!”

Just like Celebrity Bluff, D’ Kilabots is also proud of a casting coup with another big name comedienne in its roster, the ever hilarious Pokwang.

“Si Pokwang naman ang leading lady ko at wala naman siyang reklamo,” deadpanned Wally.

The much-awaited comedy flick revolves around the story of brothers Justin and Bruno Kilabot (Jose and Wally, respectively) who both fall in love with Pokwang. It is Bruno who wins her heart and marries her. Justin turns into a woman-hater even if when the beauteous balikbayan Solenn falls madly in love with him.

D’ Kilabots is directed by Soxie Topacio who helmed the award-winning comedy Dead na si Lolo!

Celebrity Bluff premiers on November 17 after 24 Oras Weekend on GMA. D’ Kilabots Pogi Brothers . . . Weh!? Opens in cinemas on November 28, with a premiere night on November 27 at the SM Megamall Cinema 9. Jose and Wally will also hold mall shows on November 23 and 25 at SM San Lazaro and SM Valenzuela respectively.
