| A tough trio to beat: Vic Sotto, Judy Ann Santos, and Bong Revilla |
Is it true that one of the Metro Manila Film Festival Entries is still unfinished?
According to an insider source, the management held a meeting earlier this week to talk to the director about finishing the movie.
Unfortunately, the director said he was still quite unhappy with the movie and wanted to reshoot some of the scenes, but because there was no more time, the producers denied his request.
Mr. Director apparently walked out and told the cast that the movie was terrible, and convinced them not to promote their own movie. This may be the reason why of all the MMFF entries this movie has yet to hold a press conference.
Bong and Vic come to Juday’s rescue
At the grand press conference of Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote, at Ako, the returning blockbuster tandem of action star Bong Revilla and ace comedian Vic Sotto finally put an end to rumors that the female lead of their MMFF entry this year is merely a “second choice.”
Contrary to very loud whispers that Comedy Concert Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas was meant to be “Ako” in the stellar trio instead of seasoned actress Judy Ann Santos, Vic clarified that he had another project in mind for Ai-Ai.
“Hindi ito yon,” said Vic, referring to this renewed partnership of Bong’s Imus Productions and his MZet TV outfit. “Nung nalaman ko na hindi puwede si Ai-Ai, gumawa kami ng ibang project na para talaga kay Juday.”
“Tama yan,” backed Bong. “Bago talaga ang script na ito at para talaga ito kay Juday.
“At sana po, wag din nating kalimutan na isa rin si Juday sa mga box office stars ng MMFF with award winning films like Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo and yung sequel nito na Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo,” added the dashing senator. “Kaya talagang pang No. 1 ang team up na ito!”
In response, a gracious Judy Ann acknowledge her big name co-actors’ overwhelming support, not just on the “second choice” issue.
“They really adjusted to me and my schedule,” shared the proud mother of two who has always made it clear that her priority are her children. “Yung importansyang ibinigay nila sa akin, nakakataba talaga ng puso.”
According to Vic, Judy Ann’s role in the movie marks a significant turning point in both the Agimat and Enteng franchises in that as Angelina Kalikasan Orteza (a.k.a. “Ako”), a passionate environmentalist, a valuable message to care for Mother Earth has become the main message of the fantasy-adventure family comedy.
