Arce fight a dream come true – Donaire

Nonito Donaire Jr.

WORLD Boxing Organization (WBO) super bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire Jr. considered his upcoming fight against Mexican aggressor Jorge Arce on December 15 a dream come true.

Donaire (30-1 win-loss record with 19 knockouts) has been craving to fight Arce (61-6-2 with 46 KOs) since four years ago, but it is only now that the fight will happen at the Toyota Center in Houston Texas.

“I’ve been chasing him for four years and I am excited to finally be here to fight him [Arce],” said Donaire through his official facebook account. “We will have power versus power, speed versus speed.”

Arce, 33, a five-time division champion, is an aggressive fighter who loves to move forward and fight. He is also considered fast and smart just like Donaire, who never back down to any challenge.

“I need to be faster and stronger against Arce. Mentally, I must be smarter too,” added Donaire, who recently defeated Japanese legend Toshiaki Noshioka in ninth round in October in Carson California.

Donaire, 29, who is currently training with respected trainer Robert Garcia, has only a short training schedule preparing for this fight since his last fight was held only in October.

Despite the short training, Donaire and trainer Garcia assured that there will be no problem about his fighting condition.
