Superbrands, an international branding arbiter, expect growth in the number of its brand participation as companies have noticed the positive results of having a ‘Superbrands’ award.
Chairman Karl Mclean of Superbrands Philippines said that more local companies are seeking the
‘Superbrands’ award because of the great returns in terms of profit, a bigger and wider customer base and a generated awareness for participating brands.
“We have whole new brands coming out and we have new editions to be launched,” Mclean said. “We have grown enormously over the years.”
President and CEO Harry Tambuanco of Superbrands said that for this year alone, they were already able to tap 40 brands and are also introducing new categories like water and networking industry.
Mclean said that by next year, Superbrands will be launching more awards, such as the most outstanding Philippine products.
In the Superbrands Philippines Gala Tribute Night recently held in Makati City, Superbrands awarded trophies to participants such as The Manila Times, Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Co. Inc., and Health News, among others.
Superbrands is in 88 countries worldwide that has awarded over 10,000 brands over the past 18 years. The Philippines is the only country in Asia that awards Superbrands.
Superbrands also produces a coffee-table book published worldwide, each with its local brand titles. Brand participants get their own personalized cover pages for the Superbrands books.
