TEAM Insider’s Gretchen “Chen Chen” Abaniel gets another crack at a world title when she fights Thailand’s Modthanoi Sithsaithong for the Women’s International Boxing Association championship in the main event of The Battle of Makati at the Makati Cinema Square on December 2.


Scheduled for 12 rounds, Abaniel’s title fight is top billed for the much-awaited battle between undefeated Roman “Hitman” Canto also of Team Insider and Rommy “Warrior” Wassar of Indonesia.

The other fights in the undercard include: Adrian Camique vs. Leonardo Talisic (light flyweight), Marvain Mabait vs. Charles Delada (super flyweight), Leonardo Jandayan vs. Edsil Jungco (super featherweight) and the match between muay thai fighters Adamson Torbiso and Glen Ranillo.

Atlanta Olympic silver medalist Mansueto “Onyok” Velasco Jr., who has maintained top shape as official trainer of Team Insider, will also make his comeback with a special match as added feature during Team Insider’s fight night.
