TWO persons were injured when a fire broke out underneath one of the coaches of the EDSA-based Metro Rail Transit (MRT) 3 yesterday afternoon.
The incident occured at the Ka-muning station.
MRT General Manager Al Bitang-col said that the fire was extinguished immediately but two passengers were injured when people scrambled out of the train.
Bitangcol said that a short-circuit caused the fire. Rail operations at the GMA-Kamuning station resumed shortly.
