Butuan City is expected to bring moderate to heavy rains in Eastern and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Caraga Region. Undersecretary Benito Ramos, NDRRMC executive director said on Monday that the rains may trigger flashfloods and landslides in the said areas, particularly in the provinces of Leyte, Samar, Camarines, Southern Quezon, Mindoro, Sorsogon, Masbate, Surigao del Norte and Southern Palawan. Under the blue alert status, at least 50 percent of personnel of all regional and municipal disaster risk reduction management offices, the regional offices of civil defense and other concerned government agencies in the affected areas should at their posts at any time. ROBBERY EYED IN MURDER OF THREE IN MANILA
The Manila Police District said that investigators are now looking on the robbery angle why three people were fatally stabbed inside a house in Santa Cruz, Manila. PO3 Rodel Benitez case investigator of the MPD-Homicide Section said that Evelyn Tan, 40, bank employee; her mother Teresa Tan, 65 and house helper Kristina Bartolay, 22 were found knifed dead at about 5:30 a.m. on Monday. MURDER RAPS POISED VS. MODEL’S KILLERS
Murder charges were recommended yesterday by the Quezon City Prosecutors’ Office to be filed against a fashion model and her boyfriend for the brutal death of 20-year-old freelance model and television talent Julie Ann Rodelas in Cubao, Quezon City on November 6 for allegedly talking behind her back.Assistant City Prosecutor Alessandro Jurado said that he recommended the filing of murder charges against model Althea Altamirano and Fernando Quiambao Jr. However, Jurado recommended further investigation in the case of Jaymar Waradge who was nabbed by the police in a follow-up operation in Culiat, Quezon City on Sunday post-midnight. But police said that they were taking down Waradge as state witness for serving as a lookout, while guarding Rodelas after she was snatched in Pasay City and hid at the gang’s lair in Culiat.
