WHILE Philippine authorities are still investigating the murder of inactive US Marine soldier George Anikow, his remains have been flown back to the United States.

A Delta Airways flight, carrying the remains of Anikow left the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 at 6:05 a.m. on Friday

According to reports, a seven-vehicle convoy from the US Embassy arrived at NAIA1 at about 4 a.m. yesterday.

After a close coordination with officials of the airport and the Bureau of Customs, the remains were then loaded on the Delta Airways plane.

The flight will make a brief stopover in Nagoya, Japan before heading to US.
Philippine National Police officials earlier confirmed the presence of US Federal Bureau of Investigation agents to closely monitor the case.

The police force has arrested four suspects, Juan Alfonso Abastillas, Crispin de la Paz, Osric Cabrera and Galicano Datu 3rd, who were all recommended by the Department of Justice to be filed with murder for the killing of Anikow.
