Two low-pressure areas that bring moderate to heavy rains that may trigger flash floods and landslides are threatening Mindanao, the weather bureau said on Thursday.

One was spotted at 490 kilometers of General Santos City, while the other was at 1,090 kilometers of east Mindanao. Meanwhile, the tail end of a cold front is affecting Luzon.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Association, or Pagasa said that Bohol, Leyte and Mindanao, will experience cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorm that can trigger disasters like flash floods and landslides, while the rest of the Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains, or thunderstorms.

On the other end, Ilocos Norte and Cagayan Valley in Luzon will be cloudy with light rains, while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloud skies with brief rain showers, or thunderstorms.
