Ateneo takes on NU, aims for 13th win

THREE-TIME defending champion Ateneo de Manila University will be extra cautious when it battles dangerous National University (NU) today in the 74th University Athletic Association of the Philippines men’s basketball tournament at the Araneta Coliseum.

Game time is set at 1 p.m. with the Blue Eagles are looking to snatch its 13th straight victory and more importantly moving closer of achieving a rare 14-game sweep of elimination round.

But the Blue Eagles will need to stop the Bulldogs, who are raring to clinch one of the two remaining Final Four berths.

NU is tied at fifth place with De La Salle University with 4-7, record behind Ateneo (12-0), Adamson University (9-3), Far Eastern University (7-4) and University of Santo Tomas (6-5). The Bulldogs need to win their remaining three games to get a crack for the last Final Four ticket.
