President Gloria Arroyo led the recognition rites of the first batch of Global Filipino Teachers (GFT), the Globe ICT training program for public school teachers.

The country’s highest bridge called Agas-Agas straddles two mountains and traverses along Mahaplag-Sogod section of the Tacloban-Liloan Road. Apart from providing significant link to motorists traveling from Luzon to Mindanao, the P3-billion bridge is an open haven for sports enthusiasts who are into bungee jumping, paramotor, downhill skateboarding and zip-line rappelling and other extreme sports.
