Robbers stabbed to death after dental clinic heist

Bystanders stabbed to death two suspected robbers fleeing from a dental clinic after a heist.

Authorities over the weekend reported that two of the three robbery suspects died of stab wounds after robbing a dental clinic located along Aguinaldo Highway in Bacoor City, Cavite.

Bacoor City Police Chief Romano Cardiño reported that the suspected robbers forced their way into the clinic of a certain Dr. Bernardo while he was conducting a dental check-up on a patient. The three took various equipment and P32,000 in cash.

Bernardo, however, fought back, prompting one of the robbers to stab him in different parts of his body.

The dentist’s cry for help was heeded by bystanders outside the clinic who were able to seize and stab two of the suspects, according to Cardiño.

The police chief noted that one of the unidentified suspects was rushed to the Las Piñas District Hospital but died shortly after his arrival there.

The other unidentified suspect was brought to the Crisostomo Hospital in Cavite but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician, he added.

The third suspect who was armed with a .38 caliber pistol was chased by the bystanders but was able to escape with the loot from the robbery.

The dentist, meanwhile, was later brought to the St. Dominic Hospital in the same city and was reported to be in stable condition.
