STILL unidentified burglars have carted away more than P250, 000 worth of cellular phones from a mobile phone shop in Agusan del Sur province, police reports said on Thursday.
Belated reports reaching the Philippine National Police operations center in Camp Crame said that the burglary occurred between on Monday night and on Tuesday morning at a phone shop in Brgy. 2, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.
Investigation revealed that the burglars forced their way into the mobile phone store owned by Edmundo Magno Arsenal by destroying the ceiling of the shop, the reports said.
The reports said that the suspects once inside, started ransacking the shop and carted away different brand of cellular phones worth at least P274, 000 before escaping towards the same route of entry.
The burglary was only discovered at about 8 a.m. on Tuesday by the shop owner when he opened his establishment for business, the reports said.
Police are now conducting investigation for the identification and possible arrest of the culprits, the reports added.
