THREE policemen in the Western Mindanao region have been dismissed for illegal drug use and six others are being investigated for involved in drug related acts, a senior police official said on Tuesday.
Chief Supt. Napoleon Estilles, Western Mindanao Police director, said that the three dismissed policemen were all assigned at Siocon Municipal Police station in Zamboanga del Norte province.
Estilles said that he had directed the discharge of the three from their duties in Siocon Municipal Police Station after they have been proved positive for the use of illegal drugs. The police official also directed the relief of senior Inspector Khisna Asa-Aali, the local police chief whose personnel will need to undergo a back to basic re-training course at the regional headquarters in Zamboanga City.
